My sons play baseball, so I am sitting at the ball park most weekends. I keep score, so I end up sitting down more often and need a comfortable, useful, easy to transport chair. I saw a friend with this chair (in red) and had to have one. I love the pockets on the side for storing my scorekeeping essentials, like the lineup card, the stylus for my ipad, a pen for the official scorecard, etc. The tray lets me keep my food/drinks close by and easy to access without trying to balance on my lap. This chair is much easier to transport than the standard-issue fold-up chair most people use at the ball park. Those "slouch" chairs have to be carefully folded into a cramped carry-bag, and the strings always get tangled. This chair, by contrast, folds up quickly and easily. I don't particularly like the carry-handles on this chair and simply hold it in the middle as I carry it to the car. But it's much quicker to fold up and get to and from the car.I had seen several of these chairs without the back insert - more like a traditional director's chair - and wanted to make sure I had the extra back support. I'm glad I found that option since it makes for a more comfortable chair when you're sitting all day.I must say that the slouch chairs are a little more comfortable if you sit for a long period of time and want to slouch down and rest. This chair makes you sit up straight, which is probably better than slouching anyway. All in all, a great purchase, and it has held up nicely even when I throw it in the back of the SUV with baseball equipment and other stuff.
