My goal was to find the lightest, highbacked backpack chair with big feet for the beach. This chair delivers beautifully.We pack these chairs in our luggage when we fly to beach destinations. We look for a style that can easily fit in a backpack or tote for the beach. My last chair--another brand--was fine, but too low to the ground and I wanted a higher back. This chair is a vast improvement and weighs only one pound more. It is super easy to assemble. There's only one bar with attachments. If you gently shake it and guide the pieces, it comes together on its own.The trick to putting the fabric on is to put the top piece on both sides, just an inch or so and then squeeze the bars slightly together and slip down. Same for the bottom, and there are little pull loops to aid in the assembly. Compared to the two other backpacking chairs we own, this one is the easiest to assemble. The design minimizes contact with sand, which is great because sand can get lodged in the connections and jam them.The chair is very comfortable. It is low, but well off of the ground. We own a chair with a triangle frame (5 lbs) and this one seems a little less stable. The weight and height limits from the manufacturer really do matter for this chair. For my height and weight, the chair works perfectly. It is so light and spare in its design, it seems impossible for the chair to hold a person and be so comfortable, but it is.My only complaint for this chair is that it does not have an attached drink holder. Our other two chairs do. It is a small trade off for all of the other advantages this chair offers.
