I've actually been using this almost every night. I can't speak to the EMF levels because I don't have a meter. Despite the reported high levels I decided to give this a try due to the low price. It heats up very quickly and is actually too hot for me at the highest settings. The foot pad can get uncomfortable very quickly. I usually wear socks or put a towel over the foot pad to make it more bearable. The chair is tiny and not the most comfortable but I haven't found a better option that fits in the box yet, so I keep using it for now.I mostly use it at night before bed as I feel relaxed and calm after using it, and I feel like I fall asleep faster (it usually takes me a long time to settle to sleep). I also use it before and after exercise. In my opinion, I am less stiff after exercising when I use the sauna. I like that it is small and easy to store in my walk-in closet. I expected to use this once or twice a week, but have found myself using it once or twice a day. You can definitely get a good sweat going, and while I think the benefits of infrared saunas may be overstated, I definitely feel better after using this.I took off one star because the unit has shut off several times. I simply unplug it and turn it back on and it resumes working. Hopefully this is not a sign that it is not going to be durable long-term.It's really too early to give a complete survey of the unit. I used it today and it took about 10 min for me to start sweating. Once I did it was continuous. GREAT SWEAT!!! The inside did feel kinda small ( I'm 5'5, 125 lbs) but I got use to it once I was totally zipped up. The neck opening is oversized I suggest putting a towel around your neck before entering to catch the SWEAT and keep the heat inside. I did not use the hand holes be it was weird. The zipper pulls are both inside and outside equally. The quality is great I would say. The front pocket for holding the remote control is not snug so it fell out. It fell to the ground after i zipped it up. I just opened the zipper when i wanted to stop and turned it off. I sat a total of 30 min with 10 min of warming up. The foot pad get REALLY hot so be prepared for that. It appears to be easy to wipe down after use, because it's plastic. There were sweat puddles on the floor inside the unit after use.. the biggest thing is the tiny chair look like its for a small child. I am not sure if a larger chair would even fit. Overall for $160 it is well worth it. I was considering a full size sauna for $1200, but my spouse suggested this to see if I would even use it. I think I will take the savings from buying the portable and buy a sturdier chair and a neck pad to hold in the heat. Do buy if u want a good sweat and to save space. Happy sweating!!I am so disappointed. I am very sensitive to EMF's (electromagnetic frequencies) and had read warnings online about these cheap portable FIR saunas having really high EMF levels, but I was hoping that was exaggerated. IT IS NOT. Just standing NEXT to it turned on for about 30 seconds, my heart started pounding and my ears started ringing with pressure in my head. These are classic signs of EMF toxicity and my usual reaction, among other symptoms. On a positive note, the unit heat up very quickly, and I'm sure it gives a great sauna heat-wise, but it is extremely toxic EMF-wise. Even if you don't feel an immediate effect from these toxic frequencies, they do harm your body. The only saunas that have low EMF output are over $2000, some much over. I'm thinking I may join a local gym for the dry sauna and forego the FIR for now, and save my money. It makes no sense to hurt ourselves for sweat when we are trying to heal. The toxicity cancels out the benefits of the sweat. I'll be shipping this back tomorrow.UPDATE 2/17: This company does not cover return costs. For me to return this to the seller will cost over $100. I contacted the seller to rectify, waiting to hear back. BUYER BEWARE. I want to say don't buy anything especially from Asia that you haven't thoroughly researched. I learned a huge lesson. On a positive note, I learned it's very easy to build one's own IR sauna using Phillips near infrared incandescent light bulbs. Near infrared and far infrared are both healing, but the NIR bulbs are super affordable, avail. on amazon for (4) for $33. It's simple to build your own enclosure with insulated bubble wrap, canvas or something similar. Also you can purchase FIR low EMF panels to build your own unit as well. Remember, even if you aren't sensitive to EMF's now, they are still negatively effecting your health so it seems counterproductive to use something toxic while trying to improve your health. The pro's for this item is that it is easy to set up and take down, easy to store, and it gets hot quickly and I get a good sweat. The con's are once it is set up, the front collapses in a bit so while sitting in it I have to hold the front off of me; the foot pad gets so hot it burns the bottom of my feet; and the chair that comes with it is plastic and when heated puts of a noxious odor and with my pores open from the heat, I do not want any noxious chemicals getting into my body. I'm going to try getting a dowel to hold the opening open. Putting a thin towel over the foot pad helps. And I bought a different stool to replace the chair. The stool I got and am happy with is https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074KV3CTG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I debated on a two star or three star but overall, this product is OK so I'm keeping it so decided to go with the three star, but if purchasing for the first time, I would shop around and consider a different one.
